| About Sue Lewty |
| I grew up on a property near Inglewood in South East Queensland, Australia. My childhood instilled a love of nature, particularly the Australian bush and my rural surroundings from which I continue to gain inspiration for my photography. I like to capture the simple beauty of our environment which produces rich textures, colour and character.
Photography has always played a great part in my life and I decided to take it to a new level after winning a national amateur photographic competition and several local awards. I have created a body of work which is continually evolving, but reflects my individual style. I describe it as “photographic art” as this signature style combines a theme of individual images in a panel to create an overall impression. The reaction to my work, the memories it stirs or the stories of what the images mean to others is an ongoing source of motivation. Sometimes you have to dare to be different and I feel privileged to share my photographic perception of what is around us everyday but what we sometimes forget to enjoy. |
